The          Corporate Concierge

More benefits than you think

Companies are increasingly turning to corporate concierge services for several, often surprising reasons. The main attraction is, of course, to help streamline business activities and ensure that personnel, particularly busy PAs and EAs can focus on their prime tasks. Through delegating time-consuming and specialist jobs, these valuable team members can concentrate fully on their own responsibilities.

Letting a professional take care of restaurant reservations at a new spot in town, or secure VIP tickets to the must-attend sporting events or the latest theatre production is a wise decision. This not only ensure that the task is achieved, but enhances your profile and creates the right brand impression in the eyes of your clients. A corporate concierge service can assist with hospitality, entertainment and transport, together with those all-important small details like bespoke gifts and flowers.

International Festival of Business

Growing year-on-year

The International Festival of Business in Liverpool is going from strength to strength. This year the IFB saw over 75,000 delegates and 100’s of influential business leader gather to network, trade and share knowledge and expertise on key areas of global business from cities and enterprises, low carbon and renewables though to creative and digital in the host city.

The event has full government support, and for officials meeting with governments and investors abroad to promote Britain, events like the IFB make the task easier. The event is a shop window for global markets and a reminder that Britain has much to offer the global economy.

Blue Sky participated in the event with an exclusive Art Exhibition at the Festival Hub at Mann Island. Visitors to the Hub could view a selection of celebrity artworks including an artwork from renowned business leader Sir Richard Branson. Artworks were also on display in the press and media centre.

Manchester - Conference Hub

Lots to offer the event planner

Manchester, once the epicenter of the industrial revolution, now a credible conference destination with a good selection of hotels, venues and restaurants. The infrastructure is very good, with Manchester Airport serving most international destinations, and good train access to other parts of the UK. Hotels of note are the Radisson Blu Edwardian, the Lowry Hotel, the Midland and the Hilton. For event venues with character, the Monastery, the Museum of Science and Industry, and Manchester Cathedral are good choices.

The city has several unique areas or “quarters” as they are referred to locally, including Spinningfields, for designer shopping, Media City for business, the Northern Quarter for trendy and hip, all worth a visit, if the programme allows.

Hotel Art -   A Clever      Idea

Interesting twist to marketing

Art Exhibitions are an interesting and wise choice for venues and hotels. Used only be a select few who understand their value, they appeal to the eye, and offer a valuable outlet for creative marketing. For the client they add variety to their favourite venue, knowing, that apart from good food, the scenery changes too, keeping things fresh. And for the clever venue, the Art Exhibition is the driver for attracting clients and creative hospitality.

Hotels adept at this are the London Pullman St Pancras, who regularly rotate their art exhibitions by local artists, creating the drinks menu accordingly, much to the pleasure of their regular clients. For Art Aficionados who enjoy seeing works normally found in the great museums, then it’s the Dolder Grand, in Zurich. More than a 100 works from artists including Salvadore Dali, Henry Moore and Joan Miro, nice to contemplate will sipping your cocktail.
